Now, Pahlaj Demands NOC From Animal Welfare Board For Hollywood Films!
The man who is always at 'work', has triggered a fresh controversy by directing his panel members to now go strict on scenes involving animals from every Hollywood film as well.

According to the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) Chief Pahlaj Nihalani, every Hollywood producer whose film features animals needs to have a certificate from the Animal Welfare Board in India before he presents his product to the board for a censor certificate.

Several CBFC members have told SpotboyE that they have objected to the order, protesting that they were not consulted and argued that the instruction should not apply to foreign films.

The 'communication gap' between Pahlaj and his colleagues led to the Bruce Willis-starrer Rock The Kasbah being cleared by senior board member Nandini Sardesai, when it was actually rejected at the
Examining Committee level due to lack of Animal Welfare Board certificate.

Rock The Kasbah

A source says, "After the Rock The Kasbah incident, Pahlaj has been more insistent on the NOC from the Animal Welfare Board."

Adds the source, "Hollywood producers are tearing their hair out. They don't know how to tackle this."

Chaos continues at the CBFC office in Walkeshwar. We shall keep you posted on every development.
